download (3)Pinterest has been declared as one of the top 5 social networking sites, by Time Magazine, despite being a five year old firm only. That’s the rapid growth for any social networking site whose pins are 100 times more spreadable than a tweet and life of its pins are a thousand times more durable than an FB post. That’s a reason compelling enough to promote one’s business on Pinterest with the number of opportunities. The fact which makes the Pinterest unique and trending site, is its offerings, which its rival sites fail to provide. Where other sites are being online phone book for friends, offering real time micro blogging and helping one in searching something specific, Pinterest is helping in exploring the interests of one.

People have various reasons to use Pinterest. Driving away tons of traffic, converting more browsers into buyers, getting more inbound links, addictively high engagement of user and discovering what the audience loves are one of the compelling reasons to mark the presence of one’s business on such an astounding site.

And like the innumerable reasons to use Pinterest, there are hordes of motives to promote one’s brand on Pinterest, for which, few things need to be kept in mind. Posting frequently, engaging with one’s followers by replying to their comments, following and engaging with popular boards, integrating rich Pins, including direct links to one’s site, creating popular images and so on and so forth gives the idea to exhibit the business on Pinterest. It all can be done by using any of the strategies:

  • Online catalogue
  • Create board devoted to customers
  • Pin about relevant event and new product launch
  • Offer exclusive discounts
  • Host a contest

It all is like visual storytelling, even if one is not a visual brand; they can go for strategic partnership by pinning their partner’s images, because that’s what Pinterest is all about.

  1. I liked this article. It has brought pinterest in limelight as another social media site to promote one’s business. I mean FB, twitter, insta and all undoubtedly engage a number of people (especially the ones who have a lot of free time, just like me) on it, but when it comes to real business provider, pinterest seems to be doing a really good job.
